The Central Florida Children’s Home will begin the annual Christmas Tree lot today, Monday, November 23 and they are seeking volunteers! Help is needed for two 4-hour shifts and two different types of volunteers: a greeter and a loader. Volunteers should bring water, work gloves, work clothes, and a mask. The Virtual Lake Nona Shop Small Weekend, hosted by your neighborhood champion, Nonahood News, takes place this weekend! The 6th annual event will begin at 8 AM on Saturday, Nov. 28 and will last until 10 PM on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020. The shopping holiday will look a little different in 2020 and it’s more important than ever to go out and support our local small businesses in Lake Nona. Small shops have been struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic and we want to ensure that the local small businesses feel our support and continue to serve our community. And this episode marks the launch of our 3rd Annual Season of Giving!
